帯幅 約30㎝ 長さ 約４ｍ～
礼装用（振袖、留袖、訪問着など）から、おしゃれ着（紬、江戸小紋など）までつけられます。とても幅広く使えます。だからこそ、どう合わせればいいのかとちょっと不安になります。
一般的には、金銀の帯台が礼装用、金銀以外がおしゃれ着用と言われています。これを頭の片隅に置いておいて、洋服の時の色の配色や生地の感覚感性をいかしていくと良いと思います。
代表的な染織技法
佐賀錦、綴れ、唐織など
たたみ方
半分に折るを3回ほど繰り返します。たたむときに、箔がある所など和紙を挟んでおくといいと思います。箔落ちを防ぎます
Fukuro obi
Wide 30 cm Long 4 m or more
It can be used from formal kimono to fashionable kimono.
It is generally said that gold and silver obis are used for formal kimono and the rest for fashionable kimono.
Put it in a corner of your head and enjoy it with your sense.
Representative obi
saganisiki, tsudure, karaori, etc.
Folding method
Fold it in half three times. When gold foil is present, insert wasi(Japanese paper) between the obi to prevent gold foil from peeling off.
名古屋帯
名古屋帯
帯幅 約30㎝ 長さ 約3.5ｍ～
セミフォーマルからカジュアルまで幅広く使える帯です。
セミフォーマルの時は、金銀糸を使用した華やかな帯などを使用します。
また一重太鼓になるので、黒やグレーを喪服のときなどに使います。
帯幅
九寸名古屋帯
帯幅が九寸で、間に芯を入れて作っていきます。縫い代に生地をとられるので、出来上がると八寸帯になります。
八寸名古屋帯
帯芯を入れずに作っていきます。博多織の帯などが有名です。八寸は、ほとんどがカジュアル向きです。

仕立て
名古屋仕立て
太鼓のところは通常幅で残りは半分に折って半幅に仕立てた帯です。着付けが楽です。
松葉仕立て
手先部分だけ半分に折って半幅に仕立てた帯です。身長が高い人など、幅だし（帯を胴に巻く2週目に前だけ帯幅を何㎝か広げる）をしてバランスをとることができます。
Nagoyaobi

It can used in a wide range of ways, from semi-formal to casual.
For semi-formal use gorgeous obi made of gold and silver thread, etc is good.
Also, mourning obi are made of black and gray Nagoyaobi.
Obi width
kyusun nagayaobi
It is kyusun ( about 43 cm) wide.
Sew with a core between the obi. The cloth will be taken away by the seam allowance, so the finish will be hassun (about 30 cm).
Hassun nagoyaobi
There is no core in the obi. Hakataori(博多織)-obi is famous. hassun is mostly casual.

Tailoring
Nagoya tailoring
Except for the otaiko(お太鼓） part, fold the obi in half and make it.
It is easy to wind an obi.
Matsuba tailoring
Fold the end of the obi in half. It is about 20 to 30 cm long. Tailoring the obi.
You can freely change the width of the obi when you wind it. So it is easy for tall people to balance.
たたみ方 Folding method
名古屋仕立て nagaya tailoring
太鼓のところは広げて、三角形になるところで流れに沿って折っていきます。
Spread the otaiko(お太鼓）as it is. It folds from the triangle.
三角形は内側に折ります
The triangle folds inward.
松葉仕立て matsuba tailoring
三角形のところで横にする。あとは三角形を内側に折ると長方形になるので、半分に折ってを繰り返す。
The tip of the triangle folds sideways. Fold the triangle inward. The rest will be rectangular, so fold it in half several times.
折り方もいろいろあるので、最初に折ったカタが付いてると思うのでそれに合わせるのが一番です。
箔があったらそこに和紙を挟みましょう。

袋帯と名古屋帯模様のつけ方
全通（総柄、通し柄） 最初から最後まで表面全体に柄があります。
六通 ６割ほど柄があります。胴に巻く一周目に柄がなく、二週目から最後までと、テになるところに柄があります。（帯は胴に巻いた方から先をタレ、巻いてないほうをテといいます。）
太鼓（とび柄、ポイント柄、三通） 太鼓になるところや、胴に巻いたとき2週目の前になる部分に柄があります。

半幅帯（半巾帯、四寸帯） Hanhabaobi
半幅帯
帯幅15㎝の帯でカジュアルに着こなせます。袋状になっている帯を、小袋帯といいます。
長さ3.5ｍほどですが、４ｍ前後の長さの物もあります。これを細帯という方もいらっしゃいます。
浴衣から袷の着物までしめられます。着物との色や質量バランスを合わせて楽しみましょう。
hanhabaobi
It is a 15 cm wide obi. You can wear it casually.
A obi with a cavity in it is called a kobukuroobi(小袋帯）.
It is about 3.5 m long. there is a obi about 4 m long, and some people call it a hosoobi(細帯）.
From summer yukata to winter kimono can be used. Considering the balance of thickness with kimono, enjoy coordinating.

半幅帯は、半分に折って折ってと良いサイズまで折って収納します。着ている時間が長かったりして、カタがとれないときなどは、クルクルとロールするのも良いでしょう。

単帯 hitoeobi
単帯
単の帯です。
年中を通して使うのでは、博多織や綴れなどの地質のしっかりした帯です。（八寸名古屋帯、半幅帯など）
夏物（6月～8月）の 絽、紗、羅 で出来た袋帯、名古屋帯、半幅帯があります。

You can use solid obi such as hakataori(博多織）-obi and tudureobi all year round. （ hassunnagayaobi, hanhabaobi, etc)
There are fukuroobi , nagayaobi, and hanhabaobi made of gauze(ro) and plain gauze(sya）. It is used summer( June to August).
袋帯、名古屋帯、半幅帯どの帯も、着用後は、汚れてないかチェックして、2時間～一晩風の通る日陰の部屋で風通ししましょう。
After using any obi, please check for dirt. After that, please dry it in a shaded room 2 hours to 1night.
